The month of October has been a busy one! Get ready for picture OVERLOAD! I went back to work on October 1. It was hard. Luckily, my mom gets to watch him while I work and I only work (at most) 3 days a week. I'm glad that I get to stay home with my little guy most of the time. I have so much fun with him.
Also, this month I turned 26...man I am old. However, I'm not as old as Tyson who turned 28 this month as well. Our birthdays were great. I got to go on a shopping spree and will be having a spa day in the near future and Tyson got Avatar 3D and a nice TV for his "man cave." Birthdays were a success as always. We also made a one day trip to St. George and back on Tyson's birthday to attend his grandma's birthday. It was a quick trip but a great one because I got to meet Tyson's mom's side of the family, we got to see his parents (who came to Salt Lake afterwards), and we also got to see Tyson's brother Jake and his family. This was the first time they all got to meet T.J.
After the birthday party, we headed back to Salt Lake to get ready for T.J.'s baby blessing. It was a beautiful blessing. It was great to see everyone who came. We are so fortunate to have such great family and friends who love us so much. We appreciate you sharing that special day with us. T.J. looked so handsome in his blessing outfit that Larayne made for him. She even made his shoes! She is so talented. I am lucky to have such great in-laws. I lucked out in the in-law department thats forsure!
We had a lot of fun the next week with Tyson's parents. T.J. really likes his grandparents. I was glad that he could finally meet them. Rachele, even came in during the week so T.J. could meet his aunt. He LOVED her! Here are some pics from the week:
Also during the week, T.J. had his 2 month check-up. He has grown 5" since he was born! He is now 24"long and weighs 11 lbs. 11 oz. He is in the 85% for height and 50% for weight. I was so proud of him, he took his shots like a champ! He didn't even cry! The nurse was impressed! He just whimpered a little and then looked at me and smiled. He is such a brave boy! It makes my day when he smiles at me. The doctor also tested his development, he is already doing things that they look for at the 4 month appointment such a recognition of faces, mimicking sounds, and pushing up on his hands. He is such a smart boy, the doctor said that some babies can say some words by the time they are 4 months old and he wouldn't be surprised if T.J. was speaking some words by then. We will see!
Isn't he a stud?
Ok now here is BIG news! Tyson finally got a new job! We are so excited for him. We will be covered under his insurance at work, he gets a 401 k and pension, he gets life insurance, gets paid more, to name just a few AND he will get his Professional Engineering license. We are SOOOOO excited. His new job is an 8 minute drive from our house. He has a set schedule with paid holidays and get this...they actually tell him a YEAR in advance what holidays the company will be taking. This may not seem like a big deal to some of you but it is HUGE for us. It is so nice that Tyson is finally getting in with a great company. We are so blessed.
As you can see, October has been busy and it isn't even over yet! Halloween is next week and T.J. is going to be soooo cute! It is a secret so you will have to check back to see what he is going to be. Thanks for reading this long blog.
