Catch up blog

In September, as a family we went to visit Tyson's mission.  It was so great to see the areas that Tyson served and meet so many of the great people.  We accomplished a lot in such a short amount of time.  We visited Minneapolis/St.Paul, Stillwater, and Duluth, Minnesota; Superior, Wisconsin; and Ontario, Canada.  It was a lot of fun!  T.J. was such a good boy on the trip, its a good thing since he is quite the traveler. I was glad that we got to visit Tyson's mission and I hope we get to go visit again.

T.J. turned 14 months old this past week.  He is growing to be such a big boy.  I am so impressed with how smart he is.  He is a sponge of knowledge and loves learning.  T.J. is all boy!  He loves cars, dirt, and helping dad fix things.  I don't want to forget any details on this stage of his life and knew I needed to blog about it for the future.  Here are some the things I love about T.J. at this time in his life:
  • T.J. is very curious and is always discovering new things, exploring, and trying to figure out how things work.
  • Much better at communicating.  He will point and make a little chirp sound when he wants something
  • Says buh buh (bye-bye), cat, dog, momma, dada, gna (grandma), Dee (Sadie), and can say the letters T and J, just not together haha so he can't say his name yet.
  • T.J. has impeccable hygiene!  He loves baths, having his ears cleaned, and brushing he teeth.  When I take his toothbrush away he throws a temper tantrum!  At least he will have good teeth!
  • Loves to read!  His favorites are the Llama Llama books.  He will come and bring me a book and try to climb on my lap.
  • He loves to wave bye-bye, and give and blow kisses.
  • Knows where his head, ears, and belly button are.
  • T.J. loves to talk on the phone, especially to grandma
  • Loves to talk!  Although I don't know half of what he is saying he loves to come up and yell at me (it isn't really yelling, he just gets excited with what he is saying)
  • Has a great memory!  If he has left his sippy cup, toy, or my keys somewhere, I can ask him to find it and he will!
  • T.J. is very strong!  He loves to carry things around.  He will find suitcases, laundry baskets, Tyson's briefcase, etc and carry them.  It surprises us because they are heavy!
  • He has picked up pouting.  It is hilarious!  If he gets in trouble or Sadie steals his food, etc. he will cover his eyes and then lay on the ground.
  • T.J. loves the toilet!  We have to keep the door shut constantly!  He loves to go in and flush the toilet and play in the toilet water.  Such a strange kid.
  • Last but not least, T.J. loves music and dancing.  I took him to the dance studio and we watched some of the routines that will be performed at the Christmas Showcase and he clapped during each number.  He also loves to dance to music and will bounce up and down while swinging his arms back and forth.  I can't wait to get him into some breakdancing classes.  He is such a stud!
Here are some fun photos of the past couple months!
