Spencer is 8 months old!

Spencer is officially 8 months old and we just adore this boy so much!  So much has happened this past month and it has hit me hard that my baby isn't going to be a baby much longer!

Spencer had his first 4th of July this month.  He doesn't typically like loud noises so I thought he was going to hate fireworks but it in fact was the opposite!  The loud noise didn't seem to bother him and he loved the bright colors of the fireworks!  I was so proud of him for being such a brave boy!

Some developments from this month are:

• Still not sleeping through the night.   He loves his mommy snuggles and wakes up 2 times a night to get them but then goes back to sleep.  I'll enjoy it though because that is the only time he will snuggle.
• Spencer is a very happy baby and pretty easy.  He loves to play with his brother, sing songs, and dance with mom.
• He is very mobile and can move around very well!  He rolls and scoots backwards and turns himself around.  His favorite thing to get in to is of course the dog food.  
• Spencer started to crawl earlier this week and won't sit still!  (If you can't tell by his photos this month)
• He can go from sitting to crawling, back to sitting
• We had to lower the crib because he is trying to pull himself up.  He hasn't been successful yet but we don't want to take any chances.
• Spencer loves to give kisses!  Especially loves to give mommy kisses by sucking on my cheek.  I sure love baby kisses, they are so sweet (minus the slobber)
• He loves to do a fake cough, he thinks its hilarious and so do we!
• He loves to do patty cake and can do it by himself
• One thing that has surprised me is that Spencer hasn't shown any signs of being wary of strangers.  He does well with new people and loves to share his big smiles with them.
• Spencer loves the water and to go swimming!  I think he will be a great swimmer one day!
• He can drink from a sippy cup and feed himself
• Spencer is so observant and loves to take in new things.  I love watching him in the mirror when I'm driving and watching him look out the window.  It melts my heart watching his sweet profile look at our beautiful world.  

Spencer we love you so much and every day we are grateful that you chose us to be your family.  We can't imagine life without you.  You bring so much joy into our life and we love watching you grow and develop.  You are such a sweet boy and again, we love you!
