Student Teaching

Well, this past week I survived my 1st week of student teaching and having the class all to myself.  I'm pleased to say that I still love it and am even more excited!  I have some fun lessons planned that I think the kids will enjoy.  They are all very receptive and open to participating in the activities I have planned.  I know there will be some students that will be difficult to get engaged, I have already had that experience with 2 of my students; for the most part, all the students seem excited.  Prior to me taking over the class, I noticed that a lot of the students would be tardy to class.  I think I have found a way to combat that and so far it has worked!  Even my 1st period class is on time!  Who knew, a stamp could do so much!  Now that I know what to expect, I am going to get involved with Timpview's cheer and dance programs.  I'm really excited to see how this whole experience goes.  :)

P.S.  I know many of you are probably wondering what is going on with the house...well, we have had some set backs.  Lets just say, the government has been taking their sweet time.  Not only causing us to be "homeless" but also causing us to put everything in storage and live in our realtor's studio apartment (which by the way SUCKS!).  The only nice thing is the view, it is up on South Mountain in Draper.  We have been there hoping to be out 10 days ago, but HUD didn't get their paperwork done on time...surprise, surprise.  By the time we finally got their paperwork, our appraisal had expired.  So we had to get a new appraisal but now we are ready to go.  HUD has gotten the closing contract and we should be in our new home in two weeks!  Fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong!
