This year for Christmas, Tyson and I got to go to Kingwood, Texas for 9 days to visit his family.  It was so nice to get away and spend time with the Beamans and see some of our friends.  We had a lot of fun and ate a ton of Kolaches!  I probably gained like 10 pounds, the Beamans fed us well!  This year we started a new tradition...The Beaman Tri-Hard.  I was really nervous about doing a triathlon but it turned out to be a lot of fun and I can't wait to do another one  Christmas 2012.  Each couple was a team and of course Tyson and I were TNT Dynamite.  The Tri-Hard consisted of a 500 yd swim, 10k bike, and 5k run.  Here are some pics below (don't mind my nastiness and thanks Hollie for posting them on your blog so I could steal them):

See I told you I look gross...at least I finished it (I didn't even train until a few days before...bad decision on my part) and Tyson still looks hot as always.  We ended up being the 2nd couple to finish so go us!  Hollie and Matt are studs and were 1st.  In 2012 it will be on!

Tyson and I enjoyed being able to spend time together.  It seems like the past few months we haven't even seen one another.  Which is actually true.  He had to work at 6am until 5pm and I was at school during the day and worked 4-10pm.  We went to Galveston and went rollerblading on the Seawall and then went to Kemah and visited the boardwalk (pics to come soon).  We went and ate at The Aquarium Restaurant.  It was a lot of fun spending time alone and revisiting where we got engaged.  On this trip, we also added 1 to the family.  We are now a family of 4.  Meet Franklin!

 

This baby box turtle was given to us by Randy, Tyson's dad.  Isn't he cute?  He is so small.  We look forward to watching him grow for about the next 25 years!
