Here at the Beaman home, we have made another addition to the family. This addition is a temporary addition however. We have become foster parents for animals that are on the Euthanasia list. I knew animals were put to sleep after a long time in shelters but I didn't realize how many! It made me so sad when I heard about it and not all are after a long period of time. In some shelters, if they are there past TWO weeks, they are put on the list and have a week to get adopted out. When I heard about this, I knew that we needed to help. So here is our foster dog Confetti.
She is a 1 year old Blue Heeler that was set to be Euthanized the beginning of February and was transported to Salt Lake to be fostered by us. She is such a sweet girl! She is very smart, which is expected of heelers. I was a little nervous because I didn't know how she would do with T.J. but she has been very gentle to T.J. and has been a great playmate for Sadie. They are partners in crime (see below). I am happy to announce that Confetti has someone who wants to adopt her and has met her and thinks that she is great fit for their family. We will be going to finalize her adoption tonight. I am sad because I will miss her because she is so sweet and let's face it, I got attached although I told myself I wouldn't let it happen. I am glad though that she will get a forever home with someone who will love her and that I saved her life. If anyone is able to foster, I strongly recommend it. Our animal friends need us and if you are looking to get a pet...adopt! Ok, now I'll get off my soap box. Congrats Confetti! We love you and wish you the best of luck in your new home!

You're my hero! I've talked with the foster care coordinator at the humane society before I just never followed up with her. I need to look into fostering again. Way to save a life!
