On Sunday, February 17 I officially have been a mother for 6 months! T.J. has been such a blessing in our lives. We can't remember what it was like before T.J. and I don't know how we ever lived without him. He is such a joy to us. This blog is past due because T.J. just had his 6 month appointment today.
6 Month Stats: 17 lbs 8 oz (50th percentile) and is 27.5 inches long (76th percentile)
This past month:
- T.J. is quite the mover. If you turn away for a second while he is on the floor, he will be off the blanket before you know it!
- T.J. LOVES to laugh! He thinks pretty much anything that mommy or the doggies do is hilarious!
- He will be crawling soon, I'm sure of it! He pushes himself up on his hands and knees but can only figure out how to go backwards. And he can move from a seated position on to his knees.
- Knows how to sign "dog" and "milk" but understands "eat" and I think he is starting to understand the signs "mom", "dad", and "grandma"
- Loves watching and petting his dogs! If they are around while I am trying to feed him, it doesn't go so well. They are very entertaining to him.
- He is wearing 9 month clothes because he is so tall!
- Sleeps 10 hours a night :)
- Eating rice cereal mixed with apples or pears and has tried shredded hash browns. If we would let him, he would want to try what we are eating. He reaches for EVERYTHING at the table.
- Loves his toys! He has really discovered how to play with toys and how to get them to make sounds. His favorite toys are his jumper and the toys on connected to it, his plush blocks, and weight rattle. He also likes to play with his rubber ducky in the bathtub.
- T.J. loves exploring different textures! He is constantly feeling things and scratching them with his hands.
