Sad Day

Early Wednesday morning I was notified that we lost a great woman on Tuesday night.

It was my ex-boyfriend's best friend's girlfriend.  I know it sounds distant but it wasn't that far off.  We would go on double dates all the time and kept in contact after me and my ex broke up.  We were both dental assistants and were working on going to dental hygiene school together.  This experience was a reminder of 1.  always wear your seat belt (this is my second friend who has passed away due to lack of wearing a seatbelt...WEAR YOUR SEATBELT!)  and 2. life is so short.  I am so grateful for the knowledge of the Plan of Salvation.  I know a lot of people around her are having a difficult time because they don't have the knowledge that I do.  Chelsie was a great girl, so kind, and soooooooo beautiful.

See what I mean?  She helped me through some tough times and looked out for me.  It brings me comfort to know about the Plan of Salvation and to know the bigger picture.  Heavenly Father just needed her for a bigger purpose.  Although it is sad her life was cut short and taken in such a tragic way, she is in a better place and helping out in bigger way than we can ever comprehend.  Chelsie, thanks for being a good friend the short time I knew you.  Although I only knew you 5 or 6 years, you made an impact on my life.  You will be missed by many.  My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family, and the Shakespear family.  You  can read her beautiful Obituary here.
