Since this is Spencer's first year alive and he was born in November, he has had a lot of firsts in a short amount of time. Because he was born the week before Thanksgiving, we had a small Thanksgiving at our house with our family, Grandma J, Grandpa Mack, and Uncle Stephen. It was nice to have a quiet Thanksgiving. We have been very cautious to not get Spencer sick and haven't wanted to venture out much. We tried to stay near home but it was still nice when he was born so we ventured to the park for some short walks to get some fresh air. Here is a photo from his first walk when he was only 3 days old. Such a sweet boy! Don't let the binky fool you, this is the one and only binky photo we have of Spencer. He hasn't taken the binky since this day, despite our efforts.
T.J. loved his new brother and was always taking pictures of him and asking me to take pictures of him holding Spencer. He even insisted on building a fort for him. He wanted Spencer to crawl in there himself but he is obviously too little. I think T.J. is anxious for his brother to be able to play.
Spencer's only outings his first month were to great grandpa Egbert's, church, pictures, and to T.J.'s dance recital. Spencer did very well at T.J.'s dance performance and was a typical male, slept through it.
